STEP 3 - Determine Total Length of Pipe Run
Use Extension Shafts on longer runs, like under driveways. Getting a good mix of extensions gives you future flexibility.
Extension shafts screw together:
-
6 ft. Extension Shaft - ES260
-
4 ft. Extension Shaft - ES240
-
2 ft Extension Shaft - ES220
Subtract the Quick unit length (4 ft or 6 ft) from the total distance of run to determine required “Extension Length.”
Divide this Extension Length by (6 ft or 4 ft or 2 ft) to determine how many extensions of each length are needed.
EXAMPLE:
Total Length of Pipe Run = 16 ft (2-car driveway)
Length of Quick Shaft Unit Selected Above = 4 ft.
- Extension Length required = (16 ft. - 4 ft.) = 12 ft.
- 12 ft. (divide symbol) 6 ft. = Qty (2) or
- 12 ft. (divide symbol) 4 ft. = Qty (3) or
- 12 ft. (divide symbol) 2 ft. = Qty (6)
